Rev. Julius A. Harper

Rev. Julius A. Harper is Senior Pastor of Santa Clarita Christian Fellowship and has served as the Lead-Pastor since January 1999. Pastor Harper is a graduate of Boston College, with a B.A in Speech and Communications. His ministerial service began at Santa Clarita Christian Fellowship, where prior to becoming Senior Pastor, he served as SCCF's Business Administrator, Praise & Worship leader, SCCF band member, Chairman of the Trustee board and Youth Pastor.

Pastor Harper was called to the gospel ministry in 1997 and served bi-vocationally for 14 years on the ministerial and preaching staff, while he was employed as an Advertising Executive in local and network television. Pastor Harper is married to Sister Cecile Harper, his high school sweetheart. Their marriage and family of 43 years, includes their Son Julius Jr. and wife Kim, Daughter Lauren, and Granddaughter Emma. Pastor Harper's spiritual heritage began in Connecticut, where he was raised in a traditional Pentecostal church; his personal commitment to Christ however did not occur until he was an adult. Later Pastor Harper would become a part of Santa Clarita Christian Fellowship founded by Pastor Robert T. Charles, who taught and trained Julius, in the doctrines, disciplines and traditions of the Baptist faith. Because of his unique spiritual background, Pastor Harper can interface with and provide an atmosphere that is spiritually worshipful and accepting of spiritual gifts (provided the gifts operate in order) while at the same time, being well ordered and doctrinally sound. Pastor Harper's defining slogan is "we are a bible believing and a bible teaching church" who welcomes the spirit filled worship of God, in all its splendor and expressiveness.
